Open House for New S. Calif Birth Center

There is a new birth center in town run by Beach Cities Midwifery.

I am excited because we need more out-of-hospital options.  If more women hire midwives for their first pregnancy, there will be fewer primary cesareans.

They are having an Open House in Saturday July 11, 2009 from 10am to 4pm. 

Activities include:

• Facility Tours;
• Discussion of Complementary Care Practices and Services;
• Movie Showings – Business of Being Born, Orgasmic Birth, and Laboring Under an Illusion; and
• mini-presentations about care during pregnancy.
